DA prohibits drinking in public places

YINGKIONG, JUN 19:

The Upper Siang district administration on Tuesday decided to impose blanket ban on road side drinking and in other public places, hunting and fishing and mobile housie in Yingkiong town.

The decision was taken following with a co-ordination meeting of all the HoDs and prominent public leaders in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki here at DC s conference hall.

The other issues which were discussed in the meeting were trimming of bamboo within the township, maintenance of social service in colonies, ILP/MV checking and control of stray animals in the town.

A decision was also taken to constitute a committee to identify the bamboos to be trimmed in the town.

The celebration of International Yoga Day on June 21 was also discussed in the meeting and it was decided to celebrate the day with great pomp and show. The DC appealed all the people present in the meeting to participate the event without fail. DIPRO
